Remembering Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs
1955-2011
Remembering Steve Jobs
We here at Bombay are all saddened by the loss, and our thoughts go out to Steve's family and friends... remembers the innovation, the vision and the dedication to excellence exuded by Steve Jobs. In his passing, we are reflecting on the way he changed the computer and technology world. Steve was the inspiration . His drive to push technology to its limits was communicable, and We just wanted to honor Steve
He was a great self-teacher. He taught him self to write code, act fearlessly, promote, brand, spot talent, hire well (after plenty of early misfires), even to delegate (although it went against his deeper instincts). From 1997, when he re-entered Apple, he was the complete CEO, the best one of his generation. We had a long relationship with Apple products. My first computer was an Apple IIe in 1989. We’ve always had Macs in our house.

I'm putting this post together from an airport. Steve Jobs has changed the life of every single photographer in some way. I am not overstating this, because if it weren't for Apple Inc,and I was actually thinking before the iPhone event about how grateful I am for what Steve contributed to the world.

Steve Jobs, 1955-2011. That was a most impressive dash.

Ashley Pereira: Public Relations & Communication

I joined Bombay Photography and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of such a great team.
I worked hard to get my BA in Business and Advertising and become certified as a Wedding and
Event Planner. My passion is to do what I can to make that special day as perfect as possible.

Happy HOLI & Good-Luck-Year!!!

Holi is the time to develop understanding and start a new life. Take  this " HOLI" occasion to change your life & show your potential to the world.

This year we are going to experience four unusual dates - 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11 and that's not all.

Take the last two digits of your year of birth. Now add the age you will be this year, and the result will be 111 for everyone!

This year October will have 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays and 5 Saturdays. This happens only every 823 years. These particular years are known as "Good-Luck-Year" the proverb goes that if you forward this message to Eleven friends, your good luck will be activated automatically, and success will appear in the next eleven days as is explained in Chinese Feng-Shui.

This Holi break all the records and be master of your own destiny.

Happy Holi to all.

Historical Moment in City Of Frisco - Captured by Bombay Photography & Bombay Films

The Need of Masjid in a community

A Masjid in a community occupies the place just like a heart in the human body. As long as the heart beats, a man can not die. The Masjid is a place where believers are taught their faith, uplift the spirit and balance their social and religious life.
In order to achieve these goals we are laying the foundation for building a Masjid and Islamic center in Frisco. Insha Allah, this establishment will be a nerve center for the community with special attraction of youth and a community center that will cater the needs of the people of all ages.
Allah SWT demanded from us to take initiative and do something for the pleasure of Allah. The Holy Qur’an praised those who take initiative and become pioneers:

“And the forerunners (in faith and action) will be forerunners in the Hereafter. On that day they will be nearest to God”. (56:10-11, Surah Al-Waqi’ah)
Tonight, you may have a question; “Who will take initiative? The answer would be very simple. Each one of us should say “I will do it, I will do it”.
Allah SWT announces:

“And say (to the faithful): Do Work, soon Allah will observe your work, and His Apostle, and the believers”. (9:105 Surah At-Tawbah)

Dr. Zafar Ali Anjum - Imam Frisco Masjid

Alhamdolillah, our community has accomplished so much in such a short time, expansion of the Mussallah to hiring of a so well known and respected Imam.  Our Imam’s arrival has really given us an instant credibility as an organization.

Our robust Nazirah program and the Sunday school are providing a much needed service.  It is because of these developments that, Alhamdo-lillah our community was motivated to purchase the land and break ground for the new Masjid.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, now it is up to you how soon we complete this project.  This will only be possible by painful sacrifices by each one of us.  The choices you make tonight will determine how willing you are to make those sacrifices.  I am sure you will make the right choice that will serve you well here and in the here-after.  Jazakum Allahu Khairyn.

                                                                                                                                                                                   Abdul Hadi Khan

BombayFilms/BombayPhotography has opportunity to be part of Gagan & Nishant’s Sikh Punjabi Wedding Ceremony

Gagan & Nishant’s Sikh Punjabi Wedding Ceremony was held at the  Sikh Temple of North Texas and their on April 24, 2010. This event was the 2nd and final event we covered for the couple and it was such an amazing time. We started taking pictures at about 9:00 am and finished around 3:00 pm. It is the great  wedding we have covered to date, but it was well worth it because we got so many incredible photos. Another spectacular part about Gagan & Nishant’s Sikh Punjabi Wedding was that Nishant entered in on a horse. From beginning to end, their event was filled with festivity and we couldn’t have had a better time working with them on their wedding day. Below are our favorite photos from the Chunni Chadana, Sangeet & Wedding.
